I want to be a gardener. Really, I do. I want to be one of those people who grows amazing vegetables and spends all summer preserving them to enjoy later, during the cold Iowa winters. But, I’m not. I grow children, pumpkins, gourds and squash. After 10-15 acres of those (pumpkins, not children) and a few good tantrums from my little ones, I just don’t have the energy for a vegetable garden. But, I’m thinking this year, I might try to grow some of these pretty little ladies… After all, when you come to a pumpkin patch to buy decorating items, you want mums! So the question is, this fall at The Pumpkin Ranch, will I grow my own?
